Since your board has 8 SATA ports and 3 M.2 slots my guess would be that two of the controllers each control 4 SATA ports, and the 3rd controller handles the M.2 slots (because some M.2 drives still use the SATA protocol instead of NVMe). Check and update all PC drivers for Windows 11, 10, 8. NOTE: It is strange that the same version driver has different date on my system and on Acer support webpage. They exist regardless of how many drives you currently have in operation. Download Standard SATA AHCI Controller Windows driver for Standard SATA AHCI Controller, that can help resolve HDC issues.

Should I install Kabylake driver because my processor ( Intel core i3-7100U) as I understand comes under Kabylake type (on my system now is driver 15. dated 3) ?

On Acer Support web page I found two latest updates for my computer: I have computer Acer Aspire E5-575-33BM ( Intel core i3-7100U, Intel HD graphics 620) with Windows 10 Home (Version: 1607, OS Build: 1699.125) and wanted to update SATA AHCI Driver.
